The drugs used for treating breast cancer are called the anti-cancer drugs. These drugs are used for killing the breast cancer cells. The doctors treating the breast cancer is an oncologist. He decides what drug should be given for treating breast cancer and also decides in what amount of drugs should be given. The cancer in the breast is very high. So the best way for treating is shrinking it by using the chemotherapy and then going for a surgery. The most common drugs used for the treatment of chemotherapy are Anthracyclines, Taxanes, Capecitabine, Vinorelbine, etc. Radiation therapy is given generally after the breast conserving surgery. Surgery without radiation therapy is done under following conditions. The main conditions are that the patients are above 70 years and also there is no lymph node involvement. These are the first stage of cancer treatment. In stage 2, the cancer cells are larger and radiation therapy is done. The breast cancer patients are undergoing various helps at home. Herceptin is one of the drugs used for the treatment of breast cancer. It can be used in several ways. For the first-line treatment of the breast cancer, herceptin is used in combination with paclitaxel.
